Gallons and head, not a sticker that says 'fountain pump.'

An urn and a pondless fall are not the same motor. Matching the old pump can copy the same problem.

The old pump's sticker is a clue, not a spec. If it screamed for two years, it was wrong. We measure the basin, the lift, and the run.

Head is the vertical fight. A pondless that climbs four feet wants more pump than a bowl that lifts ten inches. People buy the bowl pump for the fall and then wonder why it dribbles.

Too much pump is splash on the door and a noisy vault. Too little is algae and a motor that never stops working. We would rather be slightly over with a valve than under with a prayer.

The vault is part of sizing. If you cannot pull the pump, the next failure costs a teardown. We leave a way out.

Electrical: GFCI, wire gauge for the run, no lamp cords. A correctly sized pump on an unsafe outlet is still unsafe.

Questions we get on this street

Can I buy the pump myself?

Notes from the yard

Freeze nights, algae, room on the truck. A few times a year. Not a weekly blast.
